Dr. Haas is a board-certified, comprehensive ophthalmologist who has been in private practice since 2005. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology. He has lived and worked in the Colorado Springs area since 2008.

Dr. Haas was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. He completed his undergraduate studies at Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry/Cellular & Molecular Biology. Dr. Haas then completed medical school at the University of Washington in Seattle in 2001. He completed an internship at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio, Texas (2001-2002), and an ophthalmology residency at Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana (2002-2005). He has been in private practice since that time. Dr.Haas has a special interest in cataract surgery, but sees and treats most medical diseases of the eye.

Dr.Haas owns Haas Vision Center in Colorado Springs, and started it because he felt having his own office was necessary in order to provide the highest levels of care to his patients. By owning and running an independent ophthalmology clinic, he can make sure that all patients have minimal waiting times, get all of their questions answered and have the best possible overall service and care. Dr. Haas is dedicated to making you happy with your visit, and he strives to make all of his patients happy in every aspect of their treatment.

Dr. Haas has been a Committee Member for the Comprehensive Ophthalmology subsection of the American Academy of Ophthalmology's Ophthalmic News and Education (O.N.E.) network.

In his spare time Dr. Haas enjoys spending time in the outdoors of Colorado. He is an avid day-hiker who can frequently be found on nearby trails with his wife, daughter and dogs. He enjoys other outdoor activities as well including skiing, running, mountain biking and gardening. Dr. Haas enjoys reading and travel, and his favorite destinations include the Colorado mountain towns over long weekends.
